Clear Cloud Top Rippled Resin Low Table, 130cm, with rippled clear resin top in cloud-like lobed outline on a dark grey lobed base, shown on a plain white background.
Clear Cloud Top Rippled Resin Low Table - 130cm $11,27300
Description

This low table has a thick clear resin top whose outline curves in and out in soft lobes like a drawn cloud. The face is rippled rather than flat, and the whole top sits on a dark grey base made of rounded lobes joined side by side, so the base echoes the outline above it without repeating it.

A Cloud Outline Answered by a Lobed Base

Top and base are related but not matched. The top's lobes are shallow and many; the base's are few and deep, each swelling out and hollowing between, so from the side the table reads as a cloud resting on a row of boulders. The top overhangs the base at every point, which is what keeps the two forms separate rather than reading as one mass. The base is worked to a soft satin rather than a mirror, so it holds shadow in the hollows and does not compete with the clear top.

Low enough for a deep sofa and broad in plan, it wants the centre of a seating group rather than an end position. It can be approached from any side and has no corner at shin height. The clear top shows the floor through it and the dark base grounds it, so it works over boards or a pale rug where a solid table would sit heavy. It is a wide low table and needs clearance to walk round. Indoor use only.

Base Finish, Top Thickness & the Overhang

The standard build is 3–4 weeks and the bespoke build 5–6. Three specifications change this table. The base finish is satin as here, and a mirror polish is offered, which turns the base into a reflector and makes the table read much lighter but shows every fingermark on a piece people will touch. Top thickness is set at order, and a thinner top reads more like glass while a thicker one holds the ripple more strongly. The overhang can be brought in so the base sits closer to the outline, which makes the two forms read as one object rather than two; that is the choice for a tight room. Tints are offered from the studio range. Top and base travel separately in one crate and are brought together on site, the top lifted flat by four people and lowered square onto the base rather than slid, since sliding drags the underside across the lobes. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A cloud of clear resin over a lobed base belongs to our art furniture; the dark base brings it into our metal sculptures, and its satin steel finish into our stainless steel sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
