A vessel in the form of an archaic ritual bell, banded with raised relief and finished with four beast heads at the crown, standing on its own rim. Colourless throughout, with the bands of relief reading grey where the material doubles behind them. Nothing is supplied under it: the bell is cast with its own rim and stands on that.
Casting a bell in a transparent material inverts what the form was made for: a shape designed to be read from outside now shows its whole interior at once. The original of this form was bronze, and a bronze is read only from outside. Cast the same shape in a clear body and every band is seen twice over, once on the face nearest you and once through the far side, so a surface designed to be read in one direction is read in two. Casting deep relief into a colourless body means every raised band is read through the wall behind it, so the material turns a worked surface into two surfaces at once. Polished over the whole body, with the relief left crisp rather than softened.
A study shelf, a console or a cabinet suits it, and it repays being looked at from close up. Set it where the wall behind is dark and unbroken, which is what lets the relief carry. Light from one side raking across the bands is what makes the relief legible. The silhouette and the four beast heads at the crown carry from across a room; the banded surface is entirely a near fact.
Where the piece is standard the build is 3–4 weeks, and where it is bespoke 5–6. The bands can be cut at another depth, the beast heads can be left off, and the characters round the body are cut to wording of your own rather than carried over. Cut the bands at another depth and the body is reproportioned to them, since the relief has to stand proud without crowding the band beside it. The characters worked round the body are cut to whatever wording is wanted, so the piece can be made to carry a name, a date or a line of your own choosing in place of the arrangement it is offered with. It is delivered in a single crate, needs no assembly of any kind, and is set down where it is going in one movement. One person, both hands, taking it round the body and not by the beast heads. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
An archaic ritual bell recast in clear material belongs in our indoor sculptures; its old form made transparent suits our contemporary and modern sculptures, and the relief-banded body sits with our resin sculptures.

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
