Clear & Red Flame Resin Sculpture - 180cm
Clear & Red Flame Resin Sculpture - 180cm $26,33900
Description

Clear petals rising round a centre of satin steel and matt red, the whole composition carried on a broad stone base. Colourless petals round a red core, with the steel between them a soft satin silver. The base is supplied with it, black and broad enough to carry every petal.

A Satin Core Nothing Tinted Could Give

A tint can only ever make a casting darker. Satin steel set between the petals works differently: it takes the light reaching it and softens it into a sheen, so the middle of the composition reads as a quiet band of metal among the clear and the red. Setting brushed steel inside clear petals means the material holds a soft grey at its centre, a surface no tint could produce. The petals are polished and the steel is satin, with the red left matt so it does not compete with either.

It suits a lobby or an atrium floor, and at its breadth it is a piece to be walked round rather than passed. Put a pale ground behind it, because the red at the centre has to be the brightest thing in the composition. Light from above reaches the satin core through the petals, which is the only direction that does. The red carries the length of a lobby and the steel between the petals appears only from a few positions.

Polishing the Steel, and Three Crates

Production takes approximately 3–4 weeks for a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. Say the word and the petal count changes, the core is finished in another colour, or the steel is mirror-polished rather than satin. Polish the steel to a mirror and the core starts throwing light back out, so the piece is read from within rather than from outside. Three crates. The base is laid first, the steel is set on it, and the petals go round last. Four people. The petals are thin at the tip and they lead. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A flame of clear and red petals around steel leads to our stainless steel sculptures; the clear petals belong to our resin sculptures, and a lobby floor, where it can be circled, takes it into our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
