A compact bench in clear cast resin. The seat is a single thick slab, and set through it along its whole length are crinkled flakes of amber, orange, yellow and red, some caught just under the top face and some low in the body. It rests on a frame of polished stainless steel, two flat uprights joined by one rail, set in from the ends of the slab.
No two of the flakes lie at the same depth. From above, some lie just beneath the surface and others float deep in the body, and from the end the colour stacks up through the full thickness of the seat, so the bench has a different character from every side. Each flake is crinkled, and its edges catch the light the way a dried petal or a scrap of foil does: amber and orange for the most part, with a few yellow and red ones among them. The frame is polished to a mirror, so it gives back the floor around it and all but disappears under the resin. No two slabs carry the same scatter.
It seats one comfortably and two at a squeeze, and it also serves as a low table at the end of a sofa or at the foot of a bed. Put it where people pass it from the side and see it end on as well, because the end is where the flakes gather into a band of colour. A window or a lamp behind it lifts the amber out of the clear resin, and the polished frame sits well on a pale stone or timber floor. Keep it indoors, out of the weather.
Bespoke commissions take 5–6 weeks; standard pieces take 3–4. The colour of the flakes is the first thing that can change: amber and orange as described, one colour such as red or gold throughout, or a slab left entirely clear with nothing set in it. The frame can stay polished, be brushed to a satin steel or be finished black, and a pair of clear resin blocks can take its place so that the whole bench reads as one material. The length is quoted to order. It travels in two crates, the slab and the frame apart, and two people set the slab onto the frame. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Bright flakes sealed in a clear seat make this bench one for our art furniture; its squared slab and frame suit our geometric sculptures, and the mirror-bright steel our stainless steel sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
