Head up and slightly turned with the ears forward, the stag in this cast resin sculpture stands in the attitude of an animal that has just heard something. Its antlers are short and nearly straight rather than branching. Everything is optically clear and polished to a full gloss, which means the animal has no colour of its own at all: what you see through it is whatever it is standing in front of, brightened and bent.
A colourless animal is judged on clarity before anything else, and the legs decide it. At this height they are long and slim, and a slim clear section shows a cloud that a thick one would swallow, so each leg is held up to the light before the body is taken past its first grade and a casting with any greyness in a leg goes no further. The gloss is the other half of the work. Clear resin taken to a full polish shows the scratch pattern of every grade before it, so the flanks go through five abrasives and then a compound, and the hollow behind the shoulder - which no flat tool reaches - is done with a shaped pad by hand. The antlers are worked on their own and seated at the skull afterwards, which is the only way they come out this fine.
Put this in front of something worth borrowing. Against planting, a bookcase or a window it fills with what is behind it and reads as a drawing in glass; against a flat pale wall it very nearly disappears, which is the one thing to settle before it is placed. At this height it stands on the floor rather than on furniture, and an entrance hall or the open end of a large room suits it, and it wants space in front of it as well as behind. Light from behind is the best of it: the whole outline lights up and the interior goes bright.
Making a standard piece takes 3–4 weeks, and making a bespoke one 5–6. Antler length is set at order, from these short spikes up to a full branching rack, and the stag can be made as a hind with no antlers. The resin can take a tint, from honey amber to a cool sea blue, and the gloss can be frosted. Any height is cut to order. The crate holds the stag upright with its antlers cased alongside, and the rack seats by hand. Lift the animal under the chest and the haunches, never by a leg or an antler. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
An alert stag with its ears pricked belongs with our deer statues; a body clear enough to borrow its background leads to our animal sculptures, and resin polished to a full gloss joins our resin sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
