The stag in this cast resin sculpture is standing alert: the head is up and carried slightly back, and the antlers rise high and open above the skull rather than sweeping away from it. The body is left entirely smooth - no facets, no texture, no tint - so the piece is read as a silhouette and as the light running along the back and down the legs. It carries its weight evenly on all four hooves.
A smooth clear body is the least forgiving surface this workshop makes. There is no texture to break up a reflection and no colour to hide a blemish, so the whole animal is brought to one optical grade and the polish has to run continuously round a compound curve without a flat spot where the wheel changed direction. The antlers are cast separately, as branching antlers always must be, and here they are set to rise rather than reach, which puts their weight over the skull and lets the join sit in compression. The head is set back after the body is finished, so the angle can be judged on the finished animal.
A stag of this height stands on the floor, and it looks best where something can stand behind it - a dark wall, a stair, a run of shelving - because a colourless animal in front of white plaster reduces to an outline. An alert pose has a direction, so turn the head into the room rather than at a corner. Give the antlers clear height: they are the top of the piece and the part most likely to meet a low ceiling or a light fitting.
Build times separate standard from bespoke: 3–4 weeks against 5–6. Antler spread is set at order, from this high open carriage to a close narrow rack, and the head angle is open with it. A frosted body is offered in place of the polished one, and the tints available are amber, pale blue, green and smoke. Size is cut to order. One crate holds the body and the antlers apart; they are joined where the animal will stand, with two people on the body and one on each antler. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A stag standing alert with its head up belongs with our deer statues; antlers rising high and open lead to our figurative sculptures, and a smooth untextured body joins our resin sculptures.

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
