Brown Inner Cavity Cast Resin Block Table, 52cm, with a pale irregular hollow form inside a translucent brown resin block, shown against a plain white background.
Brown Inner Cavity Cast Resin Block Table - 52cm $4,45500
Description

This table is a rectangular block in warm brown translucent resin, its outer faces smooth and only slightly rippled, with a large pale irregular form standing inside it that reads as a hollow cut into the mass. Seen from the front the cavity is the subject and the brown around it is the ground; from the side it closes up and the block reads as solid.

A Hollow Standing Inside a Solid Block

The cavity is a void inside the casting and the pale form you see is its wall, not a second material. Getting an even brown through a block with a void in the middle of it is the difficulty: the material has to fill round the core without a lift line where the two halves of the pour meet, and the tint has to stay level across a section that changes thickness from face to cavity. The outer faces are polished and left only slightly rippled, which keeps the attention inside the block.

At 52cm this stands at the height of a chair arm, which makes it a drinks table beside a seat or a stand for a single object in a hall. The cavity reads from the front and closes up from the side, so it is worth turning the face you want seen towards the room and giving it light from one side rather than straight on.

The Cavity, the Tint, and Getting It Through a Door

The standard build is 3–4 weeks and the bespoke build 5–6. The inner cavity is what fills the time. At order, three things are open. The shape of the cavity is drawn to order, the brown can be taken deeper or replaced with another tint, and the outer faces can be worked to a ripple or left plain. You give the top span and the overall height. Put the whole order in at once and the shape of the inner cavity carries across every piece. Packed with the four smooth faces and the top arris shielded, it needs one person at the door. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A pale hollow standing inside a brown block makes this table one for our geometric sculptures; it serves as a surface in our art furniture and holds its own among our contemporary and modern sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
