This cast resin low bench has a long, deeply glossy oval top that swells from a fine rim to a full centre. From beneath it two legs sweep down, a narrow blade towards one end and a broad curve towards the other, each leaving the underside in one movement and landing with a flat foot. There is no join anywhere between top and legs. The resin is a bronze tint, almost black where the top is thickest and a clear warm brown at the leg edges, and it throws a strong reflection along its whole length.
There is no join in this piece and the sweep is the reason it works. The top is a long oval, thin at the outer edge and thickening towards the middle, and the two legs leave its underside as curves rather than meeting it at an angle, each broadening into a blade and landing on a flat foot. Set in from the ends, they leave both extremities of the top unsupported. The bronze tint sits in the material and follows the section: almost black through the thick middle of the top, a clear warm brown at the thin leg edges. The surface is polished hard, so the whole length carries one long reflection and the piece reads as wet.
It reads as a bench and works as one, and just as well as a long table set before a deep sofa. Both ends of the top are unsupported, so it should not be pushed hard against a wall where a corner might load one of them. The reflection along the top is what the piece is for, which means light from above or along it, not from behind. Very heavy, and best placed once. Indoors.
Build times separate standard from bespoke: 3–4 weeks against 5–6. The swept legs are why. Three of its features are open. The length is open, the tint can be replaced, and the legs can be set further in or further out along the top. A polished or a satin surface is offered. The overall length and the overall height follow your figures. A second piece added later will differ on the bronze depth along the top. Its crate is shaped round the two swept legs and the thin top edge, and four people lift it from there. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
One glossy sweep from top to leg belongs in our contemporary and modern sculptures; as a low bench it serves among our art furniture, and a long sofa wall among our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
