A conical bowl opening from a narrow foot to a thin rim in a single unbroken line. It is cast in a strong translucent blue that lightens as the wall thins toward the top. Nothing is supplied to raise it: the narrow foot is the whole of what it stands on, and the wall is cast unusually thick.
A rim this wide on a foot you can put two hands around is the whole of the difficulty. The material has to travel that far from where it enters, and it is thickening the entire way, so the last part of the rim to fill is doing so with material that is already stiffening. Fill too slowly and the rim comes out short or ragged; too fast and the wall carries air. What makes it possible is the cone itself: every part of that journey runs uphill at one constant angle and nothing has to turn a corner. A bowl of this span with a curved profile is a far harder object.
At 80cm it stands on the floor or a plinth rather than a table, and it needs room in every direction with nothing beside it. On a low table it takes the whole surface; in a hall or a wide corner it does what it is for. The blue deepens toward the foot and lightens at the rim, so a light source above it runs the gradient the right way round. Weight is not the difficulty a stone vessel of this span would be, and two people move it without lifting gear.
Set aside 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. The blue is lightened or taken to green, the rim is drawn heavier, and the cone is cut at a shallower angle for a broader, lower bowl. A frosted exterior is offered and makes the piece opaque, which is the sensible choice where it will be used rather than looked through. It is also cast at other diameters, including a pair. It ships in one crate standing on its foot in a cut bed with the rim ringed the whole way round, and two people lift it. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A bowl this wide belongs with our art furniture; blue graded from foot to rim leads to our resin sculptures, and a vessel for a wide corner of a hall joins our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
