A broad blue plinth, as wide as it is high but only about half as deep, made for showing a long piece or a group of objects. It is a closed box of blue acrylic sheet with square edges and a flat top, broad enough to take a long, low sculpture or several small objects side by side. The blue is clear and even across the front, right down to the foot, and deepens a little towards the ends. It is sold singly, in a standard sheet or a heavier one.
Most plinths are square in plan, which suits a single upright piece; this one is broad and shallow, which suits a long one, a reclining figure, a boat, a bowl, or a row of objects. The sheet is used as a plain surface with no frame or visible fixings, so the plinth reads as a single volume of colour. The blue gives whatever stands on it a coloured ground, cool behind warm materials such as gold, amber or wood, and the flat top keeps a piece level.
Stand it against a wall in a hall, a showroom, a gallery or a living room, with its broad face to the room. At 75cm a piece on it sits a little below eye level and is seen from slightly above, the natural way to look at a bowl or a long, low sculpture. A white or pale wall behind makes the blue read clearly, and light from above falls on the top and the piece. Give it a stretch of wall to itself, with nothing crowding its ends.
Build times separate standard from bespoke: 3–4 weeks against 5–6. It can be made to other proportions to fit a particular piece, broader, deeper or at another height, and in another colour of sheet: clear, frosted, black or iridescent. A plinth made to measure for one piece shows that piece best. Two can be made to the same size and stood end to end for a longer run of display. The sheet itself comes in two thicknesses, priced apart, and the choice is made with the order. Carry it with a hand flat under each end, kept level, and set it down square to the wall. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A broad, shallow box of clear blue sheet, made to carry a long, low piece, is among our art furniture, our acrylic sculptures and our geometric sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.
Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
