Four flat panels make this armchair: a tall back, two angled sides that serve as arms, and a seat spanning between them. The acrylic carries three colours in one sheet - a strong blue across the back, purple through the middle where the seat crosses, and amber where the panels reach the floor - so the chair changes colour up its own height rather than across its width.
A three-colour grade is cast, and the middle colour is the one that decides whether it works. Blue running straight into amber turns muddy, so a purple band is drawn in between them and its width sets how abrupt the change reads: narrow and the chair looks banded, wide and the blue and amber never establish themselves. Every panel is then cut from the sheet at the same vertical position, which is what makes the colours line up across the seat line when the four are stood together - cut them from wherever the sheet allows and the back would be blue at a different height from the arms. The panels meet at mitred edges and the outer corners are left crisp rather than radiused, because a soft corner on a flat-panel chair reads as a moulding fault.
A flat-panel chair has a front and a back and very little in between, so it wants to be seen square on: at the end of a room, against a plain wall, or turned into a bay window. At 76cm the back is high enough to read as a chair from across a room. It has no upholstery, which makes it a chair for sitting in for a while rather than an evening, and better suited to a study or a dressing room than to a sitting room. Backlight it and the three colours light up in sequence up the height.
Give it 3–4 weeks as a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks as a bespoke commission. Any of the three colours can be specified, and the band widths between them set with the order. A seat pad can be made up if the chair is for regular use, and the back can be cut down toward the arms for a chair with a low profile. The four panels are bonded here at their mitres and the chair arrives assembled, since a mitre made on site cannot be brought to the same finish. It is bulky rather than heavy and two people will bring it in comfortably. Every face is filmed and the film is left on until the chair is standing where it will live. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Four flat panels in three colours belong with our acrylic sculptures; a grade cut at one height across every panel leads to our geometric sculptures, and a chair to face square on joins our indoor sculptures.

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
