Blue to Amber Graded Acrylic Console Table, 140cm, with a thin blue-toned top fading to amber at the flat blade legs, shown on a plain white background.
Blue to Amber Graded Acrylic Console Table - 140cm $6,48000
Description

A console table graded in two colours rather than one: a deep blue across the top that fades to colourless around the middle of the legs and then warms again into amber where the material meets the floor. The top is a thin slab and it stands on two pairs of flat blades, one pair at each end of the span.

Blue at the Top, Amber at the Floor

A grade with a colour at both ends is cast rather than dyed, and the two pigments have to meet without making a third. Blue running into amber will go green through the transition if the densities are wrong or the two are brought together too quickly, so the middle of the sheet is left deliberately clear and both colours are drawn in from their own end toward it. That clear band is why the piece reads as two colours rather than a muddle. Each blade is then cut so its own length spans the whole grade - a blade cut from the middle of the sheet would be colourless top to bottom and would not match the blade beside it. The top is cut from the blue end alone, which is what puts the deepest colour where the eye meets it first.

This console shows best where it can be seen from a distance and from the side, because the grade needs the full height of the legs to be read: along a hallway wall, or across the end of an open-plan room. It stands at the usual height for a lamp and a bowl. Its shallow depth keeps a corridor clear. A pale floor is worth having, since the amber at the foot of each blade casts warm colour down onto it and reads as a shadow with a colour of its own.

The Two-Ended Grade, the Blades, and Delivery

Production takes approximately 3–4 weeks for a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. Either end of the grade can be specified in another colour, and the clear band between them can be widened or narrowed. The blades can be grouped differently or set as single uprights, and the console can be made to another length. The top and the four blades travel flat and are bonded together on site along the top edge of each blade, which keeps the crate slim enough to come round a half-landing. Two people are wanted for the top. Each blade is sleeved separately, as the graded faces mark more visibly than clear acrylic. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Blue at the top and amber at the floor belong with our art furniture; a clear band where the two colours part leads to our contemporary and modern sculptures, and a console for the length of a hallway joins our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
