Description

Nine slender figures of resin, each with a rounded head on a short neck and a body that narrows to a squared-off foot, are held at different heights on black metal rods rising from one long, flat base. Blue gathers at every head and drains down each body to colourless at the foot, so the group reads darkest along the top. The black metal frame comes with it, and each figure sits in two rings on its own rod.

Nine Figures Drawn From One Profile

A group of figures is only a group if they are alike enough to belong together and unlike enough to be separate, and the margin between those is narrow. They share one profile and differ only in height and in how far the blue reaches down, which is enough to make nine individuals out of a single drawing. Each body narrows from the shoulders to a slim, squared-off foot, and the rods holding them lean at slightly different angles, so no two figures stand quite alike. The figures are polished and the frame is left matt, so the group reads as light held in something dark.

It suits a shelf in an office or a study, where the group can be read straight on. A plain pale wall serves it best, because nine outlines against a busy ground become one mass. Light from behind puts every figure in silhouette; light from the front fills them and the frame disappears. The group reads as a crowd from across the room and separates into individuals only when you are close.

Changing the Count, and Getting It In

Set aside 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. More figures or fewer are made, the blue is deepened, and the frame is made in a brushed finish. Add figures and the base is made longer to hold them, since each one stands on its own rod. Frame and figures are crated together with every figure padded clear of its neighbours, and the piece is lifted by the base at both ends, never by a rod or a figure. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
