This coffee table is a teardrop lobe in translucent blue resin, with one long side swelling outward and the other drawn into a concave curve, and a shallow circular dish sunk into its top. It is made at two spans, and the convex side of the narrow lobe follows the curve of the broad one's hollow, so the two can stand together with their tops level and a clean line between them.
The concave side is the exacting part. It has to be cut to the same radius at both spans, or the narrow lobe will not close against the broad one and the gap would show from every direction in the room. The body is cast hollow, which is what makes a form this broad a two-person lift rather than a four-person one. Every dish flows into the top without a break anywhere round its edge, so there is nothing to show where the curve starts, and all of them carry the gloss of the body. The blue is in the resin and deepest at the base of each lobe, paling towards the rim, so both pieces read as dark at the floor and almost clear where a hand rests.
Both spans stand at the same height, and that is what lets them work together: pushed together they give one surface at two widths, drawn apart they serve different parts of a room. The broad size belongs before a sofa, and the narrow one next to an armchair or the last seat in a row. The sunken tops hold a glass, a book or a candle without needing a tray. They sit well with pale plaster, oiled oak and wool, and because the eye goes straight through them a small room stays open in a way a solid block would not allow. Indoor use only.
Making a standard piece takes 3–4 weeks, and making a bespoke one 5–6. The two spans are priced separately and either is bought on its own: this is one form made at two sizes, not a set. Order the broad size alone as a main table, the narrow one alone beside a chair, or both to nest. If both sizes are wanted, order them together: they are then cast from one tint batch and their blue agrees, whereas a second order placed months later will differ slightly in colour. Alternative tints are available from the studio range, including a deep red, and the dish is specified deeper, shallower or left out altogether. Each lobe is lighter than its size suggests and travels in its own fitted crate; the thin wall will not take a point load, so each is lifted with both hands under the body rather than by the rim, and neither is stacked on the other in transit or in storage. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A blue lobe made to nest with its other size belongs among our art furniture; the translucent casting sits with our resin sculptures, and the soft teardrop with our contemporary and modern sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
