This acrylic side table has a six-sided top. Unlike the graded pieces in this range the blue here is solid and even, top to bottom, and the surface is satin rather than glossy, so it holds a soft matt sheen instead of a reflection. Three flat panels run down from the underside of the top, set at equal angles around a central spine, and the table stands on their three bottom corners.
A satin face on acrylic is not a coating. The material is cast in solid blue and then the whole surface is abraded to an even tooth, which has to be taken in one direction and one grade or the finish shows as patches under a raking light. Any polishing afterwards would put the gloss back, so every edge on this table is finished to the same satin instead of flame-polished clear - that is why the hexagon reads as a solid coloured block rather than a sheet with bright edges. The six sides are cut on a jig so the angles close exactly; a hexagon that is a degree out shows immediately as an uneven point. The three panels are bonded to the underside along their whole top edge, and the joints sit inboard where they are hidden by the overhang.
Three feet stand steady on an uneven floor where four will rock, so this is the table for an old room with a board floor that has moved. The hexagonal top gives a flat side to push against a wall and a point to turn into a room. Because the blue is opaque it sits well over a rug with a pattern of its own, where a clear or graded top would take the pattern up through it and look busy. At 50cm it suits a low chair.
Allow 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. The top can be cut to eight sides, and the satin face can be left glossy if you prefer a reflective surface. The blue is available in other solid colours to order. The table arrives as a top with the three-panel spine already bonded to it, because those joints are structural and are not made to be assembled on site; that means the carton is bulkier than a flat-packed piece but nothing needs doing on arrival beyond standing it up. One person can carry it. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A six-sided top on a three-panel spine belongs with our acrylic sculptures; satin blue in place of a gloss points to our art furniture, and three steady feet for an old board floor join our contemporary and modern sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
