This cast composite hexagonal stool has faces graded from blue to clear. The stool is a hexagonal prism with six flat vertical faces and a flat top. Cut into each face is a set of concentric oval rings standing in relief from the surface, centred on the face rather than aligned with its neighbours. The material is graded from top to bottom: near-clear where the top is, deepening steadily down each face to a strong saturated blue at the floor, with the transition slow enough that no boundary can be found.
The rings and the grade work against each other in a way that makes both legible. Each of the six faces carries its own set of concentric ovals standing in relief, centred on that face and not aligned with the neighbouring ones, so walking round the stool gives six separate patterns rather than one continuous scheme. Over that runs the grade: near-clear at the top, deepening steadily to a strong saturated blue at the floor, and slow enough that no boundary is findable. The result is that a ring at the top of a face is read as a shape in clear material and the same ring further down the face is read as a shape in strong colour, though it is the same relief throughout.
At 53cm it stands at seat height and is as useful beside a sofa as under a sitter. Six faces means it reads the same from any direction, which suits an open position in a room rather than a corner. The grade runs to its strongest blue at the floor, so a pale floor sets it off and a dark one hides the deepest part of it. It is heavy for its size and best placed once. Indoors.
In the workshop a standard piece takes 3–4 weeks and a bespoke commission 5–6. The ring pattern is the slow part. Three decisions sit with you. The blue is offered in other colours, the grade can be run in the opposite direction so the strong tone sits at the top, and the number of rings on each face is open. The hexagonal plan is fixed. Span across the faces and overall height are quoted to whatever you need. Put the whole order in at once and where the blue starts on the faces carries across every piece. With the six vertical corners crated clear, two people can bring it in. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Six ringed faces on a hexagonal prism place this stool with our geometric sculptures; at seat height it works as one of our art furniture, and the blue grade suits our contemporary and modern sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
