Blue Frosted Twisting Ring Resin Sculpture - 65cm
Blue Frosted Twisting Ring Resin Sculpture - 65cm $2,09100
Description

A ring of frosted resin standing upright round a wide opening, the band turning once through its own width as it goes round. Deep blue is banked at the foot of the ring and climbs both of its flanks before clearing to white at the top, so the twist is read as a change of tone as well as of plane. A black marble block is supplied, square in plan and narrower than the ring above it.

A Section That Never Repeats

A band that twists as it goes round never presents the same face twice, so the eye keeps travelling to find where it turns. Here the turn is gathered at one side, where the band folds through itself to a sharp, angled edge; over the crown and along the foot it shows its broad face instead. The colour follows the same path, a deep navy through the foot, a bright blue climbing the flanks and a frosted white over the top, so tone and plane change together. Frost runs over every surface of the band, which keeps the blue soft and even rather than glassy.

At 65cm it suits a wide console or a sideboard, standing clear enough to be read from more than one side. The opening will frame whatever is behind it, so that is a choice to make deliberately. Light across the frosted band shows the twist by shading alone, and no reflection is involved at any point. It reads as a blue ring from the door, and the twist is what you find when you walk round it.

Adding a Twist, and Getting It Home

Every standard piece is made in 3–4 weeks, and every bespoke commission in 5–6. A second twist is added, the blue is run toward green, and the block is made in pale marble. With a second twist the band folds through itself twice, so the ring carries two sharp edges where this one has a single fold. The ring and its block are crated separately, and the ring comes out with both hands beneath its foot, never held by the crown or the twist. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Deep navy at the foot and frosted white over the crown, this once-twisted ring is grouped with our contemporary and modern sculptures, our resin sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
