Blue Frosted Slab Back Cast Resin Chair (58cm) by Giant Sculptures, with a cobalt seat band, pale frosted slab back, and three cylindrical legs on a plain white background.
Blue Frosted Slab Back Cast Resin Chair - 58cm $2,76900
Description

A frosted resin chair in shades of blue. The seat is a thick band of strong cobalt with rounded edges, and the back rising behind it is a flat slab with soft corners, frosted to a pale sky blue. A round post stands at the middle of the back, rising from the seat to about half its height and visible through the frost. Three cylindrical legs carry the chair, blue where they leave the seat and paling almost to white at their feet.

Cobalt Seat, Sky-Blue Slab and a Central Post

Colour is concentrated in the seat and allowed to drain away from it in both directions. Upward, the slab of the back clears quickly to a soft sky blue that deepens again only along its outer edges; downward, each leg begins as cobalt and fades through powder blue to a near-white foot. The post is the one strong upright in the back, a cylinder of paler blue that reads clearly against the frosted slab around it. The same fine frosting covers every surface, so the blues look soft and even rather than glassy, and every edge is rounded.

Standing 58cm, this chair suits a child's bedroom or playroom, or serves an adult as a low perch beside a coffee table. The blue is bright without being harsh, and it looks fresh against white walls, natural wood and grey textiles. Hard, level flooring keeps all three feet steady. Indoor use only.

Where the Blue Sits, and How It Arrives

A standard piece takes 3–4 weeks to make, and a bespoke commission 5–6. The colour can be redistributed: blue through the whole chair, blue in the back instead of the seat, or white frost with only the post picked out. Another colour can replace the cobalt, the seat can be set for a small child or for an adult, and the overall height comes to your own figure. The chair comes complete, with nothing to assemble, and it ships in its own crate for one person to carry. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Seating cast as sculpture is collected in our art furniture; a chair in blue frost like this one is also listed with our indoor sculptures, and with the coloured castings of our resin sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
