One length of material makes the whole chair. It starts as a flat foot, folds up and back on itself into a closed triangle, then runs forward and up to carry a seat that hangs unsupported at the front. Above the seat the back rises and tilts, cut off square at the top. The resin is a strong blue at every edge and corner where the section is thin, and towards the middle of each face it turns frosted and almost opaque, so the flat areas read pale and the outlines read dark.
One continuous length of material makes the entire chair, and the cantilever is the point of it. Nothing stands beneath the front of the seat, and the section is visibly fuller through the fold behind it than anywhere else on the piece. The blue behaves in two ways depending on how much material the light has to cross. At every edge and corner, where the section is thin, it stays a clear strong blue. Across the broad faces it turns frosted and nearly opaque, a pale chalky version of the same colour. The result is a chair whose outline is darker than any of its surfaces, which is unusual and is what gives it presence in a room.
At 86cm high the back stands well above a table line, so this reads as a strong shape in a room rather than a quiet one. The blue is dense and it will set the tone of a dining space, which makes a plain table and a plain floor the right company for it. The cantilever means there is no leg at the front corners, so it is easy to get in and out of and easy to sweep under. It has some give in the seat, which a rigid chair does not. Indoors only.
Lead times run 5–6 weeks bespoke and 3–4 standard. The frosted core is the slow part. You settle three things. The blue can be replaced with another colour, and a paler choice gives a clearer chair with less of the frosted effect across its faces. The seat height and the back angle can both be specified. You give the seat height and the overall height. The density of the frosting can be held across a group, provided the group is ordered as one. Packed with the cantilevered seat shielded, it needs two people at the door. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Its folded triangle sets this chair beside our geometric sculptures; the cantilevered seat is part of our art furniture, and its bold idiom suits our contemporary and modern sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
