A cast resin sculpture of a range built from close-set vertical fins rather than horizontal layers, standing on a slab of white marble. Two summits rise from it, the right-hand one well above the left, with a low saddle between them that lifts into a small hump of its own, and each fin stops at its own height, so the ridge line is read off their tips. The fins are a pale translucent blue, and where one is seen through another the colour doubles and the range gains a second, softer set of edges behind the first. The marble beneath runs out past the range at both ends.
Turning the layers on end changes what each one tells you. A horizontal layer is a contour, a line of constant height, and a stack of them describes a landform from the outside. A vertical fin is a SECTION, a cut straight through the mass, and a row of them describes the same landform from the inside. That is why a saddle sits so naturally between its two summits: a section can fall away in the middle and come back, whereas a contour has to close on itself. The consequence is that the shaping is all in the fin depths, and neighbouring fins step by so little that the fall from each summit reads as smooth. The pale tint is deliberate. Fins at this spacing overlap when seen at an angle, and a strong colour would stack up into an opaque mass; a light one lets each fin add a little and the depth stays legible.
Long and low on its slab, this is work for the top of a long piece of furniture. It is best seen square on and from a little above, where the fin tips read as a ridge and the overlaps behind them build the depth: a console table, a sideboard or a long, broad shelf. It wants a plain field behind it, since the fins are translucent and a busy wall reads straight through them. Light from behind or from one side edge-lights every fin and the range separates into its own layers; a light square in front of it merges them into a single pale block.
Reckon on 3–4 weeks for a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks for a bespoke one. Fin spacing, the depths and the landform itself are all drawn per piece, so a version with one summit and a long fall, a range reaching much further across a console, or a piece with the fins set wide apart for a more skeletal reading are all from this design. The tint is settled at order: this pale blue, a green, a smoke grey, or clear throughout so the piece is only edges and overlaps. The range is lifted by its own foot, never by an individual fin. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A landform read off the tips of its fins is abstract sculpture; the fins are resin sculpture; and the translucence that does all the work belongs to indoor sculpture.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.
Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
