This shelving unit is a square open grid, set out in five bays and four ranks with every opening clear front and back. Its blue is graded rather than even: strongest across the top and down the left side, it fades along the members toward the bottom right corner, where the acrylic runs almost clear, so the grid reads as a blue lattice thinning away to nothing at one corner.
A grid this size is a structure before it is a piece of furniture, and it is held together by the accuracy of its housings rather than by any bracing. Every vertical is trenched to take every horizontal at exactly the same depth, so the two sets of members finish flush and the grid ends up square without a diagonal anywhere. Get one housing shallow and the whole face racks. The blue then makes accuracy visible: wherever it runs strong, every joint is outlined, and a joint that does not close shows as a break in a blue line across the grid.
At 240cm it rises far above eye level and stands as a wall in its own right: it will part a room without shutting either half of it away, cross an open-plan office, or stand as a full-height run of display. Because the openings are clear through, what stands behind it is still visible and what goes in it is seen from both sides. Keep the wall behind plain, or leave it free-standing and let the blue lattice do the work. Light from the side sets every edge glowing.
Standard pieces take 3–4 weeks and bespoke commissions 5–6. Bay count and rank height are both set at order, and the grid can be made rectangular rather than square. Sheet gauge can be increased where the shelves are to carry weight. The grade can be reversed, run evenly through the whole grid, or left out for a colourless unit. Backs can be closed on selected bays. Delivery is flat and in sequence: every member is numbered as it is cut and assembled on arrival in that order, because each housing is cut to the member that fills it and a member in the wrong slot will not close. Two people are wanted, and a unit this size is not a quick job. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A blue that thins away toward one corner belongs with our acrylic sculptures; five bays of open squares lead to our geometric sculptures, and a full-height divider for an open-plan office joins our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
