Blue Cored Clear Acrylic Dining Table - 100cm
Blue Cored Clear Acrylic Dining Table - 100cm $4,45200
Description

The top of this dining table is thick, clear and square, and inside its depth it holds a field of strong blue. The colour stops short of every edge, so a band of colourless material frames it on all four sides and the blue appears to float within the slab rather than sit on it. Four broad clear legs with softly radiused corners carry the top at dining height.

Blue Held Inside the Depth of a Clear Top

Stopping a colour short of an edge is harder than running it out to one. The blue has to finish on a line that stays parallel to all four sides the whole way, and it has to finish cleanly in the vertical direction too, or the colour smears through the thickness and the crisp floating field becomes a haze. Because the surrounding material is colourless, the boundary is read twice - once looking down and once through the edge of the slab - so a line that is straight from above and ragged in section would still be wrong. The legs are the widest members possible without reading as walls, and their inner corners are radiused so a knee does not meet an arris.

The square top seats four, one to a side, and the clear legs sit at the corners where they take nothing from anybody's knees. The blue field is read from above, so this is a table to look down into rather than past: a kitchen, a small dining room, or a meeting table in an office. Set it over a pale floor and the blue throws a wash of colour down onto it in bright light. Keep the top clear of a cloth. Everything the design does happens inside the material.

Colour Field, Leg Width and What Comes Assembled

Making a standard piece takes 3–4 weeks, and making a bespoke one 5–6. The colour field can be sized to leave a wider or narrower colourless frame, and it can be moved off centre. Other colours are drawn from the same stock and a colourless top is available. Plan size is made to order, and the top can be cut rectangular for a longer table. The legs can be narrowed. The legs are bonded to the top in the workshop, because that joint cannot be made on site, so the route in needs a clear width a little over the top's own. Two people are wanted. It travels top down on its own legs, crated. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Blue held inside the depth of a clear top belongs with our acrylic sculptures; four broad legs with radiused corners lead to our art furniture, and a table to look down into joins our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
