An acrylic sculpture that is not a stack but a set of separate panels, each cut to its own skyline and stood one behind another on a dark timber tray, with air between them. The blue ranges in front stand at three depths, the brush of the colour running vertically down each face; behind them the peaks are a dark grey, and the two rearmost are pale and go almost white at their summits. Because the panels stand apart rather than being fixed into one solid, each casts a shadow onto the one behind it and the gaps read as atmosphere, so the whole thing builds real depth on a shallow tray.
The interesting decision here is the spacing, and it is not arbitrary. Panels like these can be arranged to look like a row of panels or like a valley receding, and the difference is how the gaps compare with the panel heights: too close and the shadows merge into a single dark mass, too far and the panels separate into flat cut-outs. So the gaps are set out against the profiles rather than being made equal. Each skyline is also drawn to overlap its neighbour asymmetrically, so no summit sits directly behind another, which is what keeps a chance alignment from flattening the whole illusion. The colour runs vertically on the blue panels and horizontally nowhere, because a vertical brush reads as a rock face and a horizontal one reads as a stripe.
This is a long low object for a sideboard, a credenza, a hall console or a wide shelf, and it must be seen from the front: from either end it collapses into thin sheets and the depth vanishes entirely. It should have space to either side so the ranges run out into air. Light from the front and slightly above is what this one wants: front light is what casts each panel's shadow onto the one behind and creates the recession. Backlighting turns the panels into silhouettes and loses the grey and white grading. A plain wall behind it matters, since the gaps are part of the picture.
Build times separate standard from bespoke: 3–4 weeks against 5–6. Each skyline, the gaps between the panels and their number are worked out for every commission, which allows a piece with more ranges receding further or a quieter one of three. Colour is settled at order in this blue-to-white recession, a warm sunset grading, a monochrome grey set, or clear panels reading as ice. The tray can be chosen in pale oak in place of this dark timber, and built deeper to set the panels further apart. Lift it by the tray at both ends, keeping every hand off the panels. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Blue ranges stood apart on a dark tray, grey and pale peaks rising behind them, sit in good company among our indoor sculptures, our acrylic sculptures and our abstract sculptures.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.
Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
