Black Swirl Clear Cast Resin Square Plinth, 110cm, with four clear legs holding black swirl patterns, a mottled dark top, and a floor-level stretcher frame, shown on a plain white background.
Black Swirl Clear Cast Resin Square Plinth - 110cm $3,91500
Description

A tall square plinth on four legs of square section, each carrying black swirls suspended in the clear material like ink dropped into water and stopped. A square top in a darker mottled version of the same material sits above, and a stretcher frame joins the four legs near the floor. The black in each leg drifts its own way.

Black Drawn Through Clear Legs

The swirls are drawn into the material while it is still live, one leg at a time, so they hold their drift instead of settling or dispersing - and no two legs can be made to match, which is why the four are cast together and kept as a set. The top is run darker by working more pigment into the same body. The stretcher frame is cast with the legs rather than fitted between them. All four feet are ground to one plane, since a plinth this tall shows any error at the top.

At 110cm this is plinth height for a piece meant to be seen at eye level, and the square top takes a sculpture of about its own width. The four legs are clear, so whatever stands on the plinth appears to float above the floor. The swirls are read close to rather than across a room, which suits a hall or a corner people pass.

The Swirls, the Four Legs, and What a Plinth Takes

Most pieces are standard and take 3–4 weeks; a bespoke commission takes 5–6. The bulk is the suspended swirl. Three elements are left to you. The swirls can be run in any colour or left out for a wholly clear plinth, and the top can be made to any plan the legs will carry. The plinth width and the plinth height are named by you. Send one order for the group and the drift of the swirls stays even across it. The square top and the four legs are padded at every arris, and the plinth travels standing with the stretcher frame supported. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A plinth of clear legs drawn through with black belongs to our art furniture; its square section and stretcher frame sit with our geometric sculptures, and pigment swirled through the clear legs ties it to our resin sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.

Questions Before You Order?
