The frame of this cast resin and glass pedestal table is cast in clear resin with heavy black marbling drawn through it, its four legs and its cross-rails forming a chunky openwork cage that is as much void as material. The top is an open square rim with a rebate cut into it, and a square glass panel sits down into that rebate, so the marbling is seen through the glass from above as well as through the legs from the side.
The marbling is drawn into the resin while it is still liquid, so it runs through the section instead of sitting on the surface, and no two frames carry it in the same places. The voids between the rails are worked back by hand on both faces, which is slow because an inside face has to reach the same polish as an outside one. The rebate at the top is cut true so the glass sits flush rather than proud, and the panel is made to the frame rather than bought to a stock size.
At 100cm it stands at counter height and works as a plant stand, a lamp table or a display stand in a hall or on a landing. It reads best where light comes from one side, which is what brings the marbling up through the legs, and it can stand clear of a wall because the cage is finished on all four faces.
Once ordered, a standard piece takes 3–4 weeks and a bespoke one 5–6. The openwork cage sets the pace here. Three elements are left to you. The density of the marbling is yours to set, the glass can be supplied clear, smoked or bronzed, and the cage can be cast with fewer rails for a more open frame. Top span and overall height are settled at order. For a matching group, the run of the black marbling through the legs is set once and carried through it. Its crate is shaped round the glass panel and the open rim, and two people lift it from there. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Black marbling drawn through an openwork cage gives our art furniture a pedestal table; the marbled frame suits our contemporary and modern sculptures, and a hall or landing among our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
