Description

A heart-shaped face is taken to a mirror polish and set within a surround left rough from the pitching tool, the two forming one stone. A moulded sub-base carries a short inscription band, and the whole sits on a rock-faced base slab.

Polished Black Heart in a Pitched Surround

Polished against pitched on the same block is the whole design, and the edge between them is unforgiving: the heart is polished first and then masked, and the surround is pitched away from that line by hand so no tool ever strikes toward the finished face. A pitching hammer takes a coarse flake, which is why the surround reads grey and matte while the heart reads black and wet.

A heart headstone reads from directly in front and sits low, so it suits a single plot, a lawn section, a cremation plot or a memorial garden bed. The polished heart mirrors the sky and whatever stands opposite, so an open position reads better than one facing a wall or dark planting. Confirm the burial authority limits on height and footprint before you order.

Two Finishes on One Stone

Eight weeks. The heart is polished before the surround is pitched, because pitching throws flakes and a finished polish cannot be protected from them, and that order cannot be reversed. The sub-base band is cut last. The heart face reaches you bare; wording goes on to order in a style you pick, or the face is left for a mason locally. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops. Around 1,074kg in two pieces, set with a gantry and bedded onto a poured concrete foundation.

Further heart memorials sit in headstones and memorials, with the stone under granite headstones.

Production Time

Every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of destination.

  • Sculptures under 50cm — shipped by air freight. Typical delivery 1–2 weeks after production is complete.
  • Sculptures 50cm and above — shipped by sea freight. Typical delivery 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

For larger sculptures where faster delivery is needed, air freight is available at additional cost — contact us before ordering for a quote.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

30-Day Returns

We accept 30-day returns on sculptures in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

To start a return, contact us within 30 days of receipt. Return shipping for change-of-mind returns is at the customer's cost.

Bespoke and custom-commissioned pieces are non-refundable once production has started, as they are made specifically to your specification.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
