A small dining table, a black disc on a clear cone. The top is black acrylic, opaque and even, and it sits on a short stem of the same black. That stem plugs down into a cone of clear acrylic which flares out to stand open on the floor, so the table is dark above and all but absent below. The disc and the cone meet at a stem no wider than the cone's own rim.
Putting an opaque black on top of a clear cone means neither material can hide anything from the other. The black disc's underside is visible through the cone from any seated position, so it is finished to the same standard as the top rather than left as a cut face - which is not true of a table with an opaque base. The cone is drawn over a former and left open at the floor. Every one of them settles back a little on the way to cold, by a different amount, so the rim is trued on each piece rather than to a figure. Nothing structural shows through the clear cone from a standing height, so the black disc reads as resting on the acrylic itself.
It seats two comfortably and three at a squeeze, which makes it a breakfast table, a small kitchen table or a table for a flat rather than a dining room. The clear cone means the floor reads unbroken around it, and the black top gives the eye somewhere to settle - the reverse of a clear-topped table, which tends to disappear and leave whatever is on it floating. Over a pale floor the cone almost vanishes and the disc appears to hover.
Figure the difference between standard and bespoke at 3–4 weeks against 5–6. The top can be supplied in a colour or in a clear acrylic, and the cone in a tint if you would rather it read as an object than as an absence. A wider disc can be fitted to the same cone. It arrives as three parts - top with stem, tube, and cone - and goes together on site in one operation, the tube dropping through the cone's shoulder and the stem seating onto it. That keeps the crate to the width of the top. The cone is bulky and light; the disc is the weight and wants two hands. The cone travels standing on its own rim. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A black disc over a flared clear cone belongs with our acrylic sculptures; a table dark above and absent below leads to our geometric sculptures, and a breakfast table for a flat joins our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
