A square black column whose upper third is a block of solid acrylic, graded from black at the top through a deep teal to a pale grey-green where it meets the metal. The black at the top of the acrylic matches the column below, so the eye reads the teal between them as a band set into one column: a horizon seen through a slot cut in a wall rather than an inlay. The acrylic is solid rather than panel, so the grade has real depth and sits inside it.
The block works because of what surrounds it. Its top is black, the column under it is black, and the teal between them is the only colour on the piece, so it reads as a view rather than as a material. The joint between acrylic and metal runs round all four faces and sits flush, so the column keeps one square section from top to foot and nothing breaks the line of its edges. Inside the acrylic the grade is soft: the black thins into a deep teal, the teal pales into a band of grey-green, and the pale band carries the eye down to the dark metal, where the horizon ends as cleanly as it began.
At 110cm the teal band sits a little below the eye of someone in a chair beside it, while a standing visitor looks down onto its black top, so it suits a room where people sit, a sitting room, a reception area or a library, placed where it is approached head-on. It needs to be seen straight on for the band to read as a view, and from a few steps away rather than at arm's length. The background matters more than usual: a plain wall behind it keeps the column's edges sharp, and light from the front lifts the teal, while a downlight finds only the black top and leaves the band dark.
The standard build is 3–4 weeks and the bespoke build 5–6. The height of the column under the block is drawn per piece and changes the whole reading: kept down for a piece met sitting down, raised for a hall. The grade comes as this black-to-pale teal, a warm amber run, a blue, or a colourless band, and the share of the height given to the block is set to suit the room. It is carried by the column below the block, with both hands on the metal, since the acrylic itself is not a handhold, and it is stood upright before it is let go. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A teal horizon held in the top of a black column, this piece stands with our acrylic sculptures, our metal sculptures and our contemporary and modern sculptures.

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.
Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
