This lit bench is a long block finished in matt black, and its last length is a section of resin marbled amber, white and rust right through its depth, with the lighting fitted inside it. The whole block sits on a recessed base. Unlit, the resin reads as veined stone; lit, it glows amber from within and the veining shows across its whole face.
The resin section is cast hollow to an even wall, which leaves room for the lighting inside it, and the rest of the bench is a matt black fibreglass block on a recessed base. No two resin sections carry the same veining, and the lighting sits behind it inside the hollow. The corners of the resin are worked back by hand and its faces brought to a full polish, against the quiet matt black of the rest. The lighting is fitted and tested in the studio before the piece is crated.
This is a bench for a hall, a gallery, a reception area or a long landing, and it needs a power supply within reach of the lit end. It belongs where the lighting has something to do: a dim hall, an evening room, or a space that is mostly used after dark rather than a bright one, and the lead runs out at one end.
Order a standard piece and it takes 3–4 weeks; order it bespoke and it takes 5–6. Most of it is the internal lighting. Three things are open at order. The lighting can be supplied warm or cool and on a dimmer, the veining can be worked denser or opened out, and the resin section is offered unlit where a plain veined block is wanted. The bench length and the seat height are named by you. Once the order is placed as one, the veining through the block is carried through it. The block corners and the lit face must travel padded and clear, so plan on four people at the threshold. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A black block ending in lit, veined amber resin belongs with our contemporary and modern sculptures; its fibreglass body links it with our fibreglass sculptures, and the long seat to our art furniture.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
