Aqua Stepped Crest Wave Resin Sculpture - 144cm
Aqua Stepped Crest Wave Resin Sculpture - 144cm $9,17600
Description

An aqua wave shaped as a deep U: a trough close to the base and two arms rising at either end, their crests stepped into tiers like layered ridges or terraces. The colour is deepest through the trough and under the long arm, brightens to an aqua-green along that arm's tiers and clears almost to glass in the short arm's upright tiers. It rests on a flat black base beneath the lowest point of the curve.

A U of Water With Terraced Crests

The stepping is what sets this wave apart: instead of breaking into spray, each crest is cut into a run of flat tiers, like water frozen in layers or a hillside of terraces, which gives the piece an architectural edge. The two arms rise to different heights, so the U is not symmetrical, and the tiers on each are spaced differently. The aqua gathers in the trough, stays strong along the long arm's tiers and thins to glass in the short arm's, so their edges catch the light as a series of bright steps.

It suits a sideboard, a long console or a floor position in a living room or a hall, seen from the front so both arms and their tiers read. Daylight from behind lights the aqua; a dark background brings out the stepped edges. It works in a modern interior with clean lines, and beside other pieces in glass or clear resin.

The Tiers, the Aqua and Delivery

Allow 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. The tint can be deepened towards teal, or changed to blue, green or clear, and the tiers can be cut in more or fewer steps. A clear version shows the tiers as bright lines. A single rising arm can replace the pair, and the whole can be scaled to the room. It travels in one crate with the base packed beside it, and it is carried by the trough, every hand kept off the stepped tiers. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A deep U of aqua water stepped into terraced crests rises among our contemporary and modern sculptures, our resin sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
