This amber dining chair is cast in resin. The back is a single panel that widens as it rises and then turns forward at each top corner into a short wing, so the shape reads as shoulders rather than as a straight rail. That panel is cast in tinted resin and stands above a clear seat, which is moulded with a shallow dish and a rolled front edge. Four legs are turned to a slow taper, thicker at the top and narrowing towards the floor, and they are left colourless so the tinted back is the only part carrying colour.
The chair separates its jobs between three kinds of element and looks better for it. The back is one broad panel, evenly tinted across its whole area with no mottling or banding, and it widens as it rises before turning forward into a short wing at each top corner, so the shape reads as shoulders. The seat is clear, dished across the pan and rolled at the front edge, and its section is visibly fuller at the front where a sitter's weight arrives. The four legs are turned to a slow taper, full at the top and narrow at the floor, and they are left colourless on purpose. With clear legs and a clear seat there is only one tinted element in the chair, and the back reads as a panel standing in air.
At 80cm high it is a dining chair and it will run under a standard table. The wing back stands proud above the table line, so a set of them reads as a row of panels from across a room, and that is worth thinking about before ordering more than four. The tinted back needs light to do anything; in a dim dining room it goes flat and the chair reads as clear. The turned legs suit a timber floor and look thin on a deep carpet. Indoors only.
Every standard piece is made in 3–4 weeks, and every bespoke commission in 5–6. The turned legs account for most of the work. Three things are yours to choose. The back is offered in other tints, the seat can be tinted to match it rather than left clear, and the legs are available in a different profile. Both the seat height and the overall height are yours to set. The amber in the back panel matches between pieces made in one order and not otherwise. The crate is packed to keep the four turned legs clear, and it takes two people to move. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
An amber wing back raised on turned clear legs belongs in our art furniture; the tinted panel sits well with our contemporary and modern sculptures, and the dining chair with our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
