Amber to Clear Hexagonal Hollow Resin Stool, 45cm, with swirled textured faces fading from deep amber at the base to clear at the top, on a plain white background.
Amber to Clear Hexagonal Hollow Resin Stool - 45cm $3,17200
Description

A hexagonal stool cast hollow in resin, its amber strongest at the foot and fading as it rises, so the colour is deepest where the stool meets the floor. Each of its six faces is worked into a swirled texture, and it stands on its own lowest face with nothing supplied beneath it.

Amber Rising Through a Hollow Wall

A hollow casting carries its colour in the wall and nowhere else, so the amber holds one strength right round the stool instead of pooling where a solid body would be thickest. It is richest at the foot and thins upward until the top face is almost colourless, which is why the stool looks planted rather than heavy. The wall is thick enough to take a seated adult, and the amber reads as a warm colour rather than a dark band. Every face is worked into a swirl and polished over it, and the swirls break the light into rings.

Beside a sofa it serves as a side table, in a living room it is an extra seat, and in a hall it is the stool that is always there when a spare one is wanted. At this height it is read against the floor more than the wall, so a plain floor suits it, and a warm timber floor picks up the amber at its foot. Light from above runs down the swirls.

The Amber, the Texture, and Carrying It

As standard the build runs 3–4 weeks, and as a bespoke commission 5–6. The amber can be carried higher up the wall or kept tight to the foot, the swirled texture can be left off to give a plain hexagonal block, and a seat height of your own can be specified. The same stool is also cast in clear throughout and in blue rising from the foot, each sold as its own piece. It comes in one crate, packed upright, and is heavier than it looks, so two people should lift it by the base. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

More cast seating like this stool is in our art furniture, other pieces poured in the same material are among our resin sculptures, and more made for inside are gathered in our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
