Amber Slab Triple Gold Cane Resin Console, 140cm, with amber-to-red resin top, gilded cane legs rising above the surface, and a squared resin leg, on a plain white background.
Amber Slab Triple Gold Cane Resin Console - 140cm $8,57300
Description

In this console a slab of translucent resin runs from amber at one end to a deep red at the other. At the right it folds down to the floor as a squared leg cast from the same body; at the left a bundle of three gilded canes carries it, and they continue upward through the slab to finish above its face. The gold canes are what the eye goes to first.

Three Canes Standing Proud of the Top

The slab and the folded leg are one piece, so the fold that carries the right end runs into the top without a joint and the grade of colour runs through both. Holding a clear section of that length wholly free of air is what sets the schedule, since one sitting near the surface would read as a fault. The three canes are worked on its own and gilded by hand, and the slab is cast around them so the openings they rise through are formed and not drilled. That order cannot be reversed: a hole cut afterwards would chip the arris on a translucent body. Their bearing feet are levelled against the folded end before the piece is set down.

A hall or an entrance suits it, along a clear run of wall. The two ends are entirely different, so it is worth deciding which way round it faces before it is placed. The canes stand proud of the top, which means nothing wide can be set down across that end. The gilding catches whatever light is in the room and the resin needs light through it, so a position near a window serves both.

The Canes, the Folded End, and Choosing the Finish

Figure the difference between standard and bespoke at 3–4 weeks against 5–6. Most of it is the cane passage. Three choices are open. The canes can be finished in any metal colour or left as the resin, and the slab can be run in a single tint rather than graded. Console length and cane reach are quoted to whatever you need. Several ordered together are worked so that the bundling of the canes agrees. The packing protects the three cane tips and the folded end; moving it wants four people. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Three gilded canes standing through an amber slab tie the console to our metal sculptures and stainless steel sculptures; along an entrance wall it joins our art furniture.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
