This acrylic dish is a rounded square in plan: four sides that are almost straight and four corners turned through a generous radius, so it has corners without having points. The amber is palest at the rim and gathers toward the middle, where the body is thickest. A dark metal band is worked round the rim, following the rounded square rather than crossing it.
A rounded square is more difficult to cast than a circle and the difficulty is all at the corners, where the material has to turn through a radius while the wall keeps an even section: too thin and the corner reads pale against the sides, too thick and it holds colour the sides cannot match. The amber is introduced so that it gathers where the body deepens, which is what gives the dish a centre. The metal band is formed to the finished rim rather than the rim being cast to fit a band, because a rounded square will not take a rolled ring; it is worked in one piece and closed at a corner where the join is least seen, then brought down onto the acrylic.
A dish this size is a centre for a table or a console rather than something you fill: the interior is a cast form and the colour is the point of it. It suits a dining table between meals, a hall console, or a low table where it can be looked into from standing. The metal rim gives it an edge against a pale surface; on a dark one the amber does the work. It is a single object and reads best with nothing set beside it.
Our workshops take 3–4 weeks over a standard piece and 5–6 over a bespoke commission. The amber is offered as a rose, a green, a smoke or colourless, and how far the colour gathers toward the centre is set at order. Rim metal comes in this dark finish, a brass, a chrome or a blackened steel, and the band can be left off for an all-acrylic rim. Plan size is cut to order and the corner radius is open, which takes the piece from nearly square to nearly round. It travels as one piece in a fitted box and is a one-person carry. The rim band is the part that marks in transit and is sleeved separately inside the box. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A rounded square that has corners without points belongs with our acrylic sculptures; a dark band worked round the rim leads to our metal sculptures, and a single object to look into on a console joins our contemporary and modern sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
