This lounge chair is one continuous shell in amber resin, brought to a mirror polish, the back rising in a shallow S and the seat scooped deep, with the front edge running out in a soft undulating lip. It stands on four tapering conical legs of clear resin, each with a slim honey-coloured taper running down its centre, so the legs read as a separate element under a single unbroken body.
The shell is mirror-polished by hand, and a polish of that order on a compound curve is what fills most of the schedule: the back, the seat and the front lip all curve in two directions at once, and any flat spot in the buffing shows immediately as a break in the reflection. The legs are cast separately, clear with a thin amber taper down each, and set into the underside, so the shell's amber stops at a clean line where each leg begins. Each leg is trued against the others before it is set, because a shell of this depth shows any rock at once.
Built for lounging rather than for upright sitting, it wants generous space around it, in a sitting room, a hotel bar or a wide study where nothing crowds its rolled front lip. It is deep front to back, so it needs clear floor in front and reads best at an angle rather than square against a wall, where the sweep of the back is lost.
Expect 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks where the commission is bespoke. Most of it is the polished shell. Three things can change. The shell tint and the leg tint are settled separately, so the two can be matched or kept apart, and the front lip can be drawn out further or brought back to a plain edge. The overall depth and the back height are named by you. Pieces from one order share the run of the undulating front lip. Pieces from two orders do not. The packing is designed round the front lip and the four leg ends; allow four people on arrival. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Amber shell, clear legs and a rolled front lip: this lounge chair is part of our art furniture, polished in the manner of our contemporary and modern sculptures, and made for the rooms our indoor sculptures are chosen for.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
