Amber Graded Blade Acrylic Console Table (110cm) by Giant Sculptures, with uneven amber acrylic blade supports beneath a flat top, shown on a plain white background.
Amber Graded Blade Acrylic Console Table - 110cm $6,07500
Description

A console table whose height is greater than its width, so it stands well above where a console usually sits. The top is a flat slab and beneath it a rank of amber acrylic blades runs the length of the piece: they differ in height, in width, and in how far back they sit, so the support reads as a group of separate uprights rather than a base. The amber is deepest at the top of each blade.

A Rank of Blades at Differing Depths

Every blade is a different piece and none can be substituted for another. The set-out fixes each one's height, width and depth from the front, and the load has to be spread across them even though they are unequal - so the tall blades near the middle carry the span and the stubbier ones toward the ends are there for the composition, which means the housings in the top are cut to different depths accordingly. Cutting them shallow where a blade is decorative keeps the top stiff. The graded amber is oriented deep-end-up in every blade regardless of that blade's height, so the colour arrives at the top edge together across the whole rank; matching the grade to each blade's own length instead would give a ragged line. Each blade is polished on all four edges before it goes in.

At 110cm this suits a wall in a hall or on a landing, where a squat console would look lost. It stands at about the height of a mantelpiece, so it will take pictures leaning against the wall behind it. The shallow depth means it does not narrow a corridor. Light from the front makes the blades read as one screen; light from the side separates them, which is what the varying depths are for.

The Blade Set-Out, the Amber, and Moving It

Bespoke commissions take 5–6 weeks; standard pieces take 3–4. The blade set-out can be drawn to your own arrangement, and the amber can be run in another graded colour or left clear. The height can be brought down toward a standard console. The blades are housed and bonded into the top here, so the console arrives assembled and the set-out cannot shift in transit; that makes for a tall crate rather than a heavy one. Two people are wanted, lifting under the top and not by the blades, since not every blade carries the span. Check the height of any door frame on the route before it arrives. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A rank of amber blades at uneven depths belongs with our art furniture; a console higher than it is wide points to our contemporary and modern sculptures, and graded amber cut into blades sits with our acrylic sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
