Amber Frame Gold Seat Cast Resin Armchair (73cm) with tortoiseshell-dark arm ends, square resin legs, and a yellow fabric seat, shown on a plain white background.
Amber Frame Gold Seat Cast Resin Armchair - 73cm $4,92700
Description

This armchair has a frame of amber cast resin, deep and tortoiseshell-dark at the blocked arm ends and along the seat's front rail and a lighter, clearer amber elsewhere. A thick curved back rail wraps forward into the two arm ends, and the chair stands on three legs of square section: two at the front rising straight up to carry the arm ends, and one at the centre of the back rising to meet the rail. A deep gold upholstered cushion sits inside the frame.

A Frame That Goes Dark Where It Turns

The frame is cast in sections and brought together, and the amber runs almost black at the arm ends and through the front rail of the seat, while the curved back rail and the three legs stay a lighter, clearer amber. That gradation is a property of the section, not a stain, so it cannot rub off. Each arm end is blocked square and worked back by hand, and the front rail is cast into the seat frame rather than fixed to it. The cushion is built to the finished frame.

With its low back, this armchair will pull up to a dining table or work well on its own beside one, and it suits a dining room, a study, a hall or a bedroom. The arms are open at the sides, so it does not need clearance for a swing, and a pair reads well facing each other across a small table.

The Seat, the Frame Colour, and Its Proportions

Reckon on 3–4 weeks for a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks for a bespoke one. Most of it is the blocked arm ends. Three things are open at order. The depth of the amber and how dark the joints run can both be specified, the cushion can be covered in a material you supply, and the arm ends can be left square as they are or rounded off. Seat width and back height are cut to your figures. How dark the joints go against the spans can be carried right through a group ordered in one go. In its crate the arm ends and the three feet are held clear of the walls, and two people can carry it in. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

With its tortoiseshell arm ends and gold velvet seat, this three-legged armchair belongs to our art furniture, has the retro poise of our contemporary and modern sculptures, and is shown among our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
