Three flat plates stacked and leaning in one direction on a footprint no bigger than a hand, with nothing supplied beneath the lowest of them. Amber and smoke grey alternate up the stack, so no two touching slabs are the same colour and the eye counts them without trying. The bottom slab is the foot and no base is supplied with it.
A footprint the size of a hand under so much leaning mass leaves no margin anywhere, and alternating the colours is what stops the stack reading as a single unstable pile. A stack this narrow has no margin anywhere: the centre of mass has to stay inside a square the size of a hand, and every degree the lean is opened has to be paid for by moving a plate back the other way. Amber and grey do opposite things to light in the same body: the amber passes it and warms it, the grey holds it back, and where the two overlap you get a third tone that belongs to neither. Flat polished faces with the edges left square, which keeps each slab reading as a separate plate.
A mantelpiece or a bookshelf suits it, where its small footprint is the point. Set it against a mid-tone ground. White kills the amber and black kills the grey, so something between them keeps both. Light from the front separates the two colours; light from directly above collapses the grey to near black. The lean is legible from anywhere in a room. Which slab is amber and which is grey needs about two paces.
Time separates the two: a bespoke commission takes 5–6 weeks, a standard piece 3–4. The order of the colours can change, a third tone can be introduced, and the lean can be taken further over. Take the lean further and the footprint has to widen with it, because on so narrow a base there is nothing left to spare. One crate, travelling on its side, and it is stood up once the packing is off. One person, both hands around the middle slab, and set it down before letting go of the top. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Slabs of amber and smoke leaning on a hand-sized footprint are found in our indoor sculptures; the one-way lean belongs with our contemporary and modern sculptures, and its alternating casting sits in our resin sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
