The base of this bar stool is a hollow amber acrylic pedestal, wide at the floor, drawn in through the waist and opening again to carry the seat. A pale grey upholstered pad sits on top, and a second, narrower pad stands behind it on a slim post. A bracket footrest projects at the front, low down. The amber deepens toward the foot, where the material is crossed at its widest. This is priced as a single stool.
A hollow pedestal that changes section twice is a harder form to hold than a solid one, the wall must keep an even thickness through both changes, and a hollow amber declares that thickness as a change of colour. The tone lifts through the waist and sinks again where the base flares. That gradient is the base's whole character, so the wall is held to a consistent figure and the flare is set out to give an even transition rather than a step. The two pads are cut from one length of upholstery so their tone matches, and the back post is let into the seat platform so the joint sits under the upholstery rather than beside it. Each pedestal colours slightly differently through its waist.
At 91cm to the back pad this is counter and bar seating, so it belongs at a kitchen island, a bar, or a high work surface rather than at a dining table. The footrest fixes the sitting position, which is worth knowing if the counter overhang is shallow. Amber wants a bright position, so a stool at a window or under a pendant will glow where one in a dim corner reads brown. Order in a run and leave at least a hand's width between pedestals, since the flared feet are the widest part.
Reckon on 3–4 weeks for a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks for a bespoke one. Upholstery is chosen from a range and the back pad can be left off entirely for a plain counter stool. The amber can be taken lighter or replaced from the same sheet stock, and the pedestal can be supplied colourless. Overall height is set to your counter, which is the measurement worth confirming before anything is cut. The footrest can be omitted where the counter has a rail of its own. Each stool arrives assembled and is a one-person lift, and where several are ordered they are numbered so a matched set stays together on site. Pedestals travel sleeved with the flared foot boxed, which is the part that takes a knock going through a doorway. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A waisted amber pedestal under grey pads belongs with our acrylic sculptures; a bracket footrest set low at the front leads to our art furniture, and a counter seat for a kitchen island joins our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
