Amber & Black Curved Back Resin Dining Chair - 75cm
Amber & Black Curved Back Resin Dining Chair - 75cm $3,50700
Description

Honey-coloured resin makes up the chair's back, a single wide band that leaves the seat on either side and arcs over in one smooth curve. Seen flat across the top the amber is pale, almost champagne, and it deepens to a burnt orange down the two sides. The seat is a flat black panel with a soft sheen, and four black legs taper down from its corners.

Honey Amber Arched Over a Black Seat

Amber resin is never quite one colour, because it reads by thickness. Across the broad top of the band the resin is thin to the eye and the tint stays pale and glassy; at the sides, where the band curves away and is seen edge-on, the colour gathers into a deep orange-brown, so each side is outlined in a darker stroke. Highlights run along the top like the gloss on toffee. Under it the frame is a plain, even black, which makes the amber look warmer still, and the line where band meets seat is crisp on both sides.

Around an oak or walnut table the amber picks up the grain of the wood, and several together make a warm, light-catching run down each side. It also works singly at a desk or a dressing table. Set it where daylight falls across the back and the band glows honey-gold, or let a pendant lamp above the table do the same in the evening. Indoor use only.

Back Colour, Frame Colour and Getting It Delivered

Give it 3–4 weeks as a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks as a bespoke commission. Its tooling is already made, so nothing needs preparing before casting begins. At order the back may be specified in this amber or in red, blue, white or clear resin, with the frame black or toned to match. Chairs ordered as a set are cast in one batch so the amber agrees across them, and heights can follow your own measurements. Each arrives ready to use in its own crate and is easily carried by one person. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Amber-backed dining seating sits within our art furniture, it is built for use among our indoor sculptures, and the honey casting belongs with our resin sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
