About Our Bronze Samurai Statues
Armour is what makes a samurai worth casting. A figure in plate is a sculpture of overlapping, articulated, interlocking parts, and bronze reproduces lacing, scale plates and a helmet crest at a level of detail that carving would take months to reach and painting would flatten entirely.
The range covers standing and seated warriors, mounted figures, drawn-sword and battle poses, and helmets and masks as standalone pieces. Most are naturalistic and carry the full armour detail; a smaller group treats the form more simply.
These sit at the meeting point of two of our ranges. As armoured human figures they belong with bronze figures and statues, and as martial and mythic subjects with bronze mythology statues. The wider figurative range across all materials is in figurative sculptures.
A samurai reads best at or near life size and with space around it, since the armour detail rewards close inspection while the pose needs distance. Most of the collection is suitable for permanent outdoor display. See bronze garden statues and life size bronze statues.
Every piece is cast to order by our artists, designed in Birmingham and made in our worldwide studios. Standard production takes around three to four weeks, and we offer free worldwide shipping. Get in touch to commission a particular figure or pose.
FAQs
Why is bronze suited to armoured figures?
Because armour is made of overlapping, articulated parts. Casting reproduces lacing, scale plates and a helmet crest in detail that carving would take months to reach and a painted finish would flatten.
What does the range cover?
Standing and seated warriors, mounted figures, drawn-sword and battle poses, and helmets and masks as standalone pieces. Most carry full armour detail.
What size works best?
At or near life size, with clear space around the piece. The armour detail rewards close inspection while the pose needs distance to read, so the piece wants to be approachable from several positions.
Can they stay outdoors?
Most of the collection is suitable for permanent outdoor display, and the patina deepens over the years. Check the individual listing before siting a piece outside.
Can a specific figure be commissioned?
Yes. Particular historical figures, armour styles and poses can all be commissioned, and scale can be set to the position.
How are they made, and how long do they take?
Every piece is cast to order by our artists, designed in Birmingham and made in our worldwide studios. Standard production takes around three to four weeks, and we offer free worldwide shipping.
