The Yellow Chrome Suit Astro Devil Sculpture is a 140cm contemporary astronaut sculpture finished in vivid yellow-chrome electroplated surface — the distinctive Astro Devil composition (the horned astronaut helmet, reflective visor, anchored stance) rendered in a single saturated yellow-chrome palette that reads high-gloss and luxurious. Where the Pink & Teal Astro Devil variant plays on contrasting colour panels, the Yellow Chrome version commits to a monochromatic high-shine finish that emphasises the sculpture's reflective dimensional quality. At 140cm, the piece sits at display scale — substantial enough to anchor a feature placement, compact enough for wider interior placement than the oversized astronaut pieces in our catalogue.
The body is cast in premium fibreglass and finished with a genuine yellow-chrome electroplated surface — a metallic plating applied directly to the fibreglass, rather than a painted finish. The electroplating gives the piece its authentic metallic reflectivity: the surface catches and distorts ambient light the way polished yellow-gold metal does, producing a finish that reads as solid-metal and holds its appearance for decades under normal indoor conditions. The horned helmet, the reflective visor (electroplated in a complementary silver-chrome to contrast with the yellow body), the suit panelling with its subtle linework — every surface is hand-finished by our artisans. The overall visual effect is closer to automotive-grade showroom finishing than traditional painted sculpture.
A yellow chrome astronaut sculpture at 140cm works as a feature piece in modern living rooms, design-forward home offices, pop-art collector interiors, contemporary retail displays, themed hospitality venues, and any space where saturated metallic finish and contemporary pop-art form meet. The yellow-chrome palette reads best against neutral backgrounds (white, grey, cream, deep charcoal) that let the finish take visual priority. In more saturated interiors the piece can serve as the dominant graphic anchor. Indoor display only — the electroplated finish is protected for interior placement.
Every astronaut sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans. Production takes approximately 3–4 weeks for a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Customisation is offered. Alternative chrome finishes (gold chrome, rose gold, silver chrome, copper chrome, black chrome, custom metallic tones), alternative sizes (100cm to 210cm+), alternative Astro Devil colour variants, and fully bespoke astronaut sculptures designed from a brief are all possible. Our team handles 3D design, modelling, and hand-finishing in-house. Contact us before ordering.
