The Monumental Traditional Pirate Captain Bronze Sculpture stands at an imposing 330cm, commanding immediate attention with its full-standing figure, cutlass raised aloft and a ship's helm wheel gripped at the left side. A small bird perches on the captain's shoulder; every detail from the tricorn hat and long flowing coat to the knee-high boots is resolved with sharp fidelity.
This piece is produced using the traditional lost-wax casting method, which preserves the precision of the original model through every stage of production. The surface carries a warm golden-brown patina applied and hand-rubbed by our finishing team, building a consistent lustre across the full height of the figure. The tiered stone plinth is integral to the composition, lending a monumental civic quality to the overall presence. As with all large bronze figure sculptures in our range, the casting wall thickness and internal armature are engineered for permanent outdoor stability at this scale.
At 330cm and 1,500kg, this sculpture is suited to grand architectural settings: the forecourt of a hotel, marina, heritage attraction, or estate entrance. The warm bronze tones read well against stone, brick, rendered render, and dark hardwood. The piece is fully rated for outdoor exposure and equally at home in a double-height interior atrium or reception hall where the scale can be properly appreciated.
Patina options include natural verdigris, deep black-brown, polished warm gold, and site-specific custom finishes. The figure can be scaled up or down to suit your project footprint, or reworked as a bespoke commission inspired by the work of a specific artistic tradition. Contact us before ordering to discuss installation requirements, patina samples, or commission briefs; our studio team will guide you through every stage.
