Monumental Traditional Krishna and Sacred Cow Bronze Sculpture by Giant Sculptures, polished golden-bronze figure playing flute beside a bowed cow on a tiered plinth.
Monumental Traditional Krishna and Sacred Cow Bronze Sculpture - 300cm $50,12200
Description

The Monumental Traditional Krishna and Sacred Cow Bronze Sculpture stands 300 centimetres tall and presents one of the most visually commanding interpretations of this sacred subject available in cast bronze. Krishna is rendered in a graceful tribhanga contrapposto pose, seated astride a sacred cow whose head is lowered in reverence, both figures rising from an ornately carved multi-tiered plinth with lotus-petal and scroll relief borders.

Cast Bronze, Hand-Finished to Museum Grade

Every surface of this piece is produced using the traditional lost-wax casting method, which allows the craftsmen to capture the extraordinary depth of South Indian temple iconography: the stacked tiers of the kirita-mukuta crown, the fine textile-like carving of the dhoti, the layered necklaces, armlets, waistband and anklets, and the hanging bell and tassel decorations suspended from the bansuri flute. The polished golden-bronze finish is warm and highly reflective across the smooth figural planes, while the recessed ornamental sections retain finer detail through selective hand-finishing. The result is a surface that reads equally well at distance and at close inspection. At 800 kilograms, this is a monumental bronze sculpture built to the structural standard of permanent public and sacred installation.

The piece suits both covered external settings and grand interior spaces: entrance halls, temple courtyards, meditation gardens, heritage properties, and institutional lobbies. The gold and bronze tones read warmly against natural stone, dark timber, whitewashed render, and polished marble. The dark granite display block at the base provides a grounding contrast to the luminous figure above.

Handmade to Order, Fully Customisable

Patina options include the warm polished golden-bronze shown, a cooled antique brown patina, or a verdigris weathered finish for outdoor permanent installation. The scale can be adjusted to suit your specific setting, and the plinth profile can be modified on commission. This composition is also available as an inspiration point for fully original sacred figure commissions. If you are considering a bespoke version inspired by the work of traditional South Indian temple bronze artists, please contact us before ordering so we can scope the commission correctly.
