The Monumental Seated Buddha Bronze Sculpture stands at an imposing 220cm, presenting a large-scale figure in full lotus position with a highly polished, uniform gold finish that commands attention across any architectural setting.
This sculpture is produced using the traditional lost-wax casting method, a technique that preserves the finest surface detail through every stage of production. The robe folds, the rope belt at the waist, the curled hair bumps of the ushnisha, the delicate elongated earlobes and the auspicious symbol on the chest are each rendered with precision only achievable through this process. Once cast, the surface is hand-finished and treated to achieve the bright gold polished bronze you see here; a warm, reflective finish that reads differently under natural and artificial light. The result is a piece that holds the quality of a gallery installation at a monumental outdoor scale.
The sculpture is supplied on its large tiered circular plinth with architectural detailing, which provides visual grounding and structural stability. The gold finish and formal vertical composition suit grand civic and commercial spaces, hotel lobbies, landscaped courtyards, temple grounds, private estates and institutional gardens. The polished bronze patina performs well outdoors with standard maintenance and sits with equal authority in high-ceilinged interior spaces where the scale can be properly appreciated.
We offer a range of patina finishes beyond the polished gold shown here, including traditional dark brown, verdigris green, and aged natural bronze. The sculpture can also be commissioned at a different scale to suit a specific site. If you are working to a brief inspired by the work of a particular artist or architectural context, contact us before ordering and we will discuss what is achievable.
