Monumental Contemporary Ballerina Dancer Bronze Sculpture by Giant Sculptures in polished gold, posed on pointe with arms outstretched, on a circular base.
Monumental Contemporary Ballerina Dancer Bronze Sculpture - 300cm $59,69600
Description

The Monumental Contemporary Ballerina Dancer Bronze Sculpture stands at a commanding 300cm, capturing a dancer frozen mid-arabesque: one leg raised behind, both arms sweeping outward and upward, the full pleated tutu skirt cast in extraordinary bronze detail. The scale is theatrical, the silhouette unmistakable.

Cast Bronze, Hand-Finished in Gold Patina

This sculpture is produced using the traditional lost-wax casting method, a process that preserves every nuance of the original model: the fine pleating of the tutu, the ribbon-tied pointe shoes, the delicate hair bun with its decorative finish. The surface is hand-worked to a polished golden bronze finish, delivering a warm, reflective tone with minimal patina variation. The result is a presence that reads as luminous from a distance and intricately detailed at close range. The low circular base carries a wood-grain texture, grounding the upward energy of the figure.

At 300cm, this piece commands significant architectural space. Indoors, it suits double-height entrance halls, atria, hotel lobbies, and performance or cultural venues where the golden finish complements neutral stone, pale marble, or darkened hardwood surroundings. Outdoors, the life-size bronze dancer performs equally well in formal garden settings, courtyard installations, or civic plazas. The polished gold tone will develop a richer patina character over time in outdoor conditions, or can be maintained with periodic waxing to preserve the original lustre.

Handmade to Order, Fully Customisable

We offer a full range of patina options beyond the standard polished gold, including traditional verdigris, dark brown, and statuary black. The figure can also be commissioned at alternative heights to suit specific architectural requirements. This sculpture could equally be considered as a bespoke installation piece inspired by the work of Fernando Botero's broader tradition of volumetric figurative sculpture, or repositioned within a dancer series to suit a venue commission. Contact us before ordering to discuss any modifications.
