The Monumental Classical Guardian Lion Bronze Sculpture stands at an imposing 250cm, presenting a seated lion in a commanding upright guardian pose, one powerful forepaw resting atop a sphere, the full mane rendered with extraordinary textural depth and the head turned slightly forward in alert authority.
Cast using the traditional lost-wax method, this large bronze lion statue carries a deep dark bronze surface with a blue-black patina and subtle verdigris accents that speak to the character of aged monumental bronze. Every strand of the mane, every ridge of muscle, and the precise spherical motif beneath the paw are individually hand-chased and hand-finished by our workshop artisans. The result is a surface that reads differently in every light condition, from the cool grey of an overcast morning to the warm amber of afternoon sun. The multi-stepped stone plinth is integral to the composition, providing architectural scale and formal presence that anchors the piece in any grand setting.
At 250cm and 600kg, this is a piece conceived for monumental environments. It suits formal entrance forecourts, estate gateways, institutional facades, and significant interior atria with double-height ceilings. The dark patina sits naturally alongside pale stone, aged brick, rendered white walls, and heritage ironwork. Equally at home in a contemporary architectural setting as in a classical one, it commands any space without competing with surrounding materials. Placement is suited for both indoor and outdoor use; bronze weathers with distinction and the patina will deepen and enrich with outdoor exposure over time.
We offer a full range of patina finishes including natural brown, verde, black, and light statuary bronze. Scale adjustments are available, and fully bespoke commissions, including inscription work on the plinth face inspired by the work of historical heraldic and classical sculptors, are welcomed. Contact us before ordering to discuss your specification, site requirements, or commission brief.
