The Monumental Classical Crucifixion Group Bronze Sculpture stands at a commanding 600cm, presenting Christ on a Latin cross with three robed mourning figures arranged at its base in a composition of profound gravity and formal stillness.
Cast using the traditional lost-wax method, this monumental bronze crucifixion sculpture is hand-finished to achieve its warm terracotta-orange to reddish-brown patina, consistent across all four figures and the architectural cross. A decorative Gothic-style foliated finial crowns the apex; the INRI tablet is rendered with clean definition above the outstretched arms of the central figure. The three attendant figures, each individually modelled with draped robes, clasped hands, and distinct postures of grief and prayer, demonstrate the level of detail that lost-wax casting at this scale makes possible. The surface tone sits in warm ochre bronze, carrying subtle weathering variation that adds depth without obscuring the figurative clarity.
At 600cm, this large bronze religious figure sculpture is intended for ecclesiastical settings, institutional grounds, memorial gardens, and significant architectural contexts. The scale and classical composition read powerfully against stone facades, open lawns, and formal garden axes. The piece is equally suited to large interior vaulted spaces, cathedral-scale interiors, or covered cloisters. The warm bronze patina holds well in both sheltered and exposed outdoor conditions, and the work has been designed with structural integrity appropriate for permanent installation at this weight class.
We offer full customisation on patina finish, from the warm ochre shown to a deep classical verde, a dark espresso brown, or a polished natural bronze. Scale variants can be discussed for installations requiring a different height to the standard 600cm. Custom compositions, inscription tablets, and base plinth integration are all available as bespoke commissions. If you are working to a specific site specification, contact us before ordering so we can advise on structural mounting and delivery logistics for a piece of this scale.
