Life-Size Traditional Standing Pope Bronze Statue by Giant Sculptures, 400cm, raised right hand in blessing, holding a papal ferula, on a stepped base.
Life-Size Traditional Standing Pope Bronze Statue - 400cm $64,48200
Description

The Life-Size Traditional Standing Pope Bronze Statue stands at a commanding 400cm, presenting a full pontifical figure in polished cast bronze with a warm mid-brown patina. Every detail of the ecclesiastical dress, from the embroidered cope and decorative cross motifs to the tall liturgical mitre, is resolved with scholarly precision and hand-finished care.

Cast Bronze, Hand-Finished to a Gallery Standard

This piece is produced using the traditional lost-wax casting method, which allows the fine engraved patterning across the vestments and regalia to transfer faithfully into the metal. The surface receives a warm mid-brown patina, hand-applied and sealed to endure both interior and exterior conditions. The raised right hand, held open in a gesture of blessing, and the tall papal ferula gripped in the left carry a weight and stillness that only solid cast bronze can sustain at this scale. The figure is set on a large rectangular granite plinth with a stepped octagonal upper section, pale grey in tone, with an inscribed nameplate on the front face.

At 400cm, this statue is suited to ceremonial civic spaces, cathedral forecourts, institutional grounds, or significant private estates. The warm bronze reads well against pale stonework, dark brick, or lush green landscaping. It is equally at home in a grand interior hall or atrium where ceiling height permits. The dual-material palette of bronze and granite is self-contained and requires no additional styling to command a space.

Handmade to Order, Fully Customisable

We offer a range of patina options including dark verdigris, antique brown, and polished natural bronze. The scale can be adjusted for interior or more modestly proportioned settings, and the plinth specification, including stone type and inscription content, can be tailored to your commission. This figure has also served as the foundation for works inspired by the output of noted figurative sculptors working in the devotional tradition. Contact us before ordering to discuss your requirements in full.
