The Life-Size Traditional Girl with Bird Trays Bronze Sculpture stands 220 centimetres tall, presenting a young girl in a long buttoned dress, arms extended horizontally at full span, each hand supporting a shallow flat tray intended for birds to rest and feed. The pose is still and generous, with a quiet naturalism in the face and a sense of unhurried outdoor presence that reads from a considerable distance.
This piece is cast using the lost-wax method, which preserves the fine surface detail of the dress buttons, the gentle tilt of the head, and the shallow relief of the feeding trays. The dark patinated bronze carries a grey-green weathered tone across its matte, slightly textured surface, consistent with traditionally finished garden bronze. The integral square stepped plinth is cast in the same material and finish, grounding the figure without the need for a separate base. Over time, outdoor exposure will continue to deepen and variegate the patina, in keeping with the weathered bronze garden sculpture tradition.
At 220 centimetres and 380 kilograms, this is a commanding presence for large formal gardens, estate lawns, parkland settings, and generous courtyard spaces. The extended arm span creates a horizontal plane that draws the eye outward, making it particularly effective when set against open sky, clipped hedging, or still water. The traditional figurative style sits comfortably alongside period architecture, walled gardens, and classically planted borders.
We offer a range of patina finishes beyond the standard dark bronze, including warm mid-brown, verde antique, and natural light bronze. The scale can be adjusted to suit your specific site requirements, and custom base configurations are available. Contact us before ordering to discuss your preferred finish, sizing, or site conditions.
This sculpture is part of our wider collection of Bronze Sculptures, and sits alongside our curated range of Bronze Figures and Statues and Bronze Garden Statues.
